The following prizes are awarded each year to students enrolled in the specified undergraduate subjects.

The Alec Masel Prize for Civil Procedure

Awarded by Philips Fox to the student with the best result in LAW5104 (Civil procedure) in any semester. Value: $150

The Arthur Andersen Prize for Taxation

Top undergraduate student/s in LAW5213 (Taxation). Value: $1000

The Arthur Robinson and Hedderwicks prizes for Company Law

Ten prizes of $100 each to be awarded to the top ten students each year in LAW5106 (Company law).

The Baldwins Prize for Wills, Probate and Administration

Top student in LAW5128 (Wills, probate and administration). Value: $300

The Blake Dawson Waldron Prize for Contract

Student showing the greatest proficiency in LAW2100 (Contract). Value: $300

The Brian Benjamin Prize for Equity and Trusts

Awarded by Philips Fox to the student showing the greatest proficiency in LAW4201 (Equity and trusts). Value: $500

Student showing the greatest proficiency in LAW2200 (Torts). Value: $300

Student showing the next greatest proficiency in LAW2200 (Torts). Value: $200

The Corrs Chambers Westgarth Prize for Restrictive Trade Practices

Student showing the greatest proficiency in LAW2200 (Restrictive trade practices). Value: $200

The Corrs Chambers Westgarth Prize for Intellectual Property

Student showing greatest proficiency in one of the three subjects: LAW5119 (Patents for inventions), LAW5107 (Copyright and designs) LAW5126 (Trade marks and commercial designations).

In the case where two or more of these subjects are offered in any one year, the prize should be awarded to the student with the highest mark in either subject. Value: $200

The Freehill Hollingdale and Page Prize for Industrial Arbitration

Student showing greatest proficiency in LAW4119 (Industrial arbitration). Value: $500

The Freehill Hollingdale and Page Prize for Company Law

Student showing greatest proficiency in the first semester in LAW5106 (Company law). Value: $500

The Gadens Ridgeway Prize for Property

Student showing greatest proficiency in LAW3400 (Property). Value: $200

The Hall and Wilcox Prize for The Lawyer

Student who achieves the best result in LAW5125 (The lawyer). Value: $200

The Herbert Geer and Rundle Prize for Insurance Law/Credit and Security Law

Student who achieves the best result in LAW4121 (Insurance law) or LAW5105 (Credit and security law). The prize is awarded every second year. Value: $200

The Mallesons Stephen Jaques prizes

Awarded to the best students in:

+ LAW5216 (Professional practice). Value: $500

+ Perspective subject to be selected by Faculty Executive Committee. Value: $400

+ LAW5101 (The law of public listed companies). Value: $300

+ LAW4104 (Australian banking law). Value: $100

The Maritime Law Association of Australia and New Zealand Prize for Maritime Law

Student with the highest overall mark in LAW5116 (Maritime law). Value: $500

The National Australia Banking Law Prize for Australian Banking Law

Student with the highest standing in LAW4104 (Australian banking law). Value: $200

The Purves Clarke Richards Prize for Contract

Student with best result in LAW2100 (Contract). Value: $500

The Peter Twining Prize for Torts Law

Awarded by Philips Fox to the honours student who writes the best thesis in the area of torts law. Value: $1000

The Sir Charles Lowe Moot Prize for Moot Court

Student adjudged best in the subject LAW5500 (Moot court). Value: $300

The Sir Owen Dixon International Commission of Jurists Law Prize for International Law

Awarded to the best student in LAW4122 (International law). Value: $200

The State Insurance Consumer Appeals Centre Prize

Best essay submitted on a topic relating to insurance law and consumers.

The Supreme Court Exhibition Prize

Selected by the Chief Justice on the recommendation of the dean of the faculty to the student writing the best honours thesis.

The Supreme Court Prize

Awarded to the student selected by the Chief Justice on the recommendation of the dean of the faculty to the best student completing final year in the course for the degree of Bachelor of Laws with Honours.
