Contemporary developments in three key areas of change - microelectronics, robotics, communications. Technological change and work. Industrial issues. The role of government. Technology and leisure. Technology and the environment. Technology and the individual. Controlling the future. In order to enrol in this subject students will need to have regular access to a computer, modem and printer to access information on the internet.
Assessment One essay (3000 words): 50% + One exercise (1000 words): 20% + Project (2000 words): 30%
