Sociological research techniques

Synopsis This subject is designed to provide students with practical experience of various methods of data collection and the analysis of research findings. It involves three group projects using observational research, a social survey and official statistical records. Students are introduced to various techniques of data analysis and learn how to develop skills in report writing.

Assessment Written (4000 words): 66% + Examination (2 hours): 34%
