Synopsis The nature of organisational society - the growth and power of organisations. Definitions and typologies of organisations, structures and goals. Classical approaches to the study of organisations. The social factors involved in organisations in contemporary Australian society and critical analyses of management-oriented `organisational theory.'

Assessment Essay (2500 words): 40% + Investigative report (2500 words): 40% + Tutorial paper and presentation (1000 words): 20%
