Synopsis Studies in moral, political and methodological issues concerning the environment; in particular, the question whether environmental concerns can be handled by moral theories centred on consideration of human or sentient agents and subjects, or whether such concerns reveal the need for a new `ethic' such as those offered by deep ecologists and ecofeminists. Additionally, an investigation of some currently pressing environmental problems such as overpopulation, poverty and justice.
