Synopsis Under the guidance of a departmental supervisor and a studio teacher, students are required (i) to prepare a unified program of works from at least two historical periods to be performed in public at the end of the semester accompanied by original program annotations, and (ii) to write a critical, analytical and historical essay in the context of the relevant literature. Study of a second instrument is also undertaken. Students need to practice at least three hours per day.
Assessment Written (2000 words): 25% + Practical examination: 75%
