Synopsis This subject is concerned with the management of people within organisations from a strategic viewpoint. It does this by looking at the systems and institutions within which organisations operate. It then considers the human resources management practices internal to the organisation but which flow from the external systems. Building on and above the day-to-day management of individuals and groups is examined in the private, public and not for profit sectors. Finally consideration is given to the principles and practices by which organisational change is introduced and managed.
