Language, reading and writing

Synopsis An introduction to some important issues in language in
education, including language variation, language and disadvantage, language
attitudes and a study of the role and development of literacy.
Assessment Written assignments (3000 words): 40% + Class paper (1500
words): 30% + Class test: 30%
