G Barnett

8 points + 2 hours per week + First semester + Peninsula

Synopsis This is essentially a practical subject, designed to give students a new perspective on the art of short story writing, and to develop their own skills in this regard. There are three main activities: a study of a wide range of short stories; weekly writing exercises designed to develop students' skills in aspects of short story writing; and weekly workshops where students read aloud their own work and make constructive criticisms of one another's writing.
