Comparative literary criticism

Synopsis This subject is designed to introduce students to (i) the basic
problems of defining literature and kinds of literature in terms of both form
and function, (ii) current Anglo-American and European methods in the fields of
comparative literature and literary history and (iii) current methods of
literary analysis and interpretation.
Assessment Written (3000 words): 60% + Examinations (2 hours): 40%
