lecture, one 3-hour workshop per week + Second semester + Peninsula +
Prerequisites: APY2020
Synopsis Community psychology and the traditional mental health
approach. Nature and function of self-help groups. The psychologist's
relationship with other health professionals. Crisis intervention. Prevention,
social intervention and change in community organisations. Negotiation skills.
Note: part of this subject involves placement in a community organisation.
Assessment Test: 20% + Seminar presentation: 30% + Placement report:
