Synopsis

Students will complete a project demonstrating skills and knowledge in project negotiation, research and implementation with subsequent knowledge translation which will benefit the community/ health service in which the student is located.

Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this unit, students should be able to:

Demonstrate community engagement, the rationale for this engagement, the tactics and strategies for community program development and evaluation.
Critically evaluate the evidence and design a suitable project to meet community needs.
Describe the application of a systems based approach to a community based project.
Negotiate, manage and document the planning and completion of a group project.
