Synopsis

Under the supervision of an academic staff member, students will develop, conduct and report on a social science research project on an approved topic of their own devising.

Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this unit students will be able to demonstrate:

the ability to plan, conduct and report on research in a field of social science.
a practical understanding of the ethical issues associated with conducting research.
a command of the research literature relating to their research project.

Thesis (15,000- 18,000 words): 100%
