Government and University legislation and policies

All Monash students are subject to rules contained in Federal and Victorian Government acts and Monash University statutes, regulations and policies.

Monash University education policies and procedures provide a statement of the principles that govern the planning and conduct of education programs across the University. Education policies and procedures are reviewed on a three-year cycle or as required. Further information is provided on these governing areas:

Students are responsible for making themselves familiar with the legislation and policies that directly apply to them and their course of study. Some additional rules may apply to certain groups of students such as higher degree research candidates, or students studying at Sunway campus, Malaysia or Monash South Africa.

The most recent version of the acts, statutes, regulations and schedules pertaining to the University can be found in the Monash University Calendar.
