PTY4070 continues to develop the five themes upon which the four year curriculum is based. These are:

Hurdle requirement: Professional conduct- Students are required to demonstrate professional behaviour in communication (written or verbal) with department staff and clinical educators in order to pass the unit. Chief examiner(s)Contact hours12 weeks of acute physiotherapy clinical practice. Students will spend approximately 34 hours per week in their clinical placements. For every 2 clinical contact hours, students are expected to complete a minimum 1 additional hour of self directed learning and reflection related to their experiences in delivery of physiotherapy services, unit content, self-directed learning tasks, project design and execution and further reading as described in the PTY4070 Unit Guide and Clinical Manual. PrerequisitesPTY1011, PTY1022, PTY2031, PTY2042, PTY3051 and PTY3062.
