Synopsis
The Mental Health unit covers the aetiology, pathophysiology, diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of the following common mental health problems:
The unit will focus particularly on medication management issues in patients with these conditions and the pharmacist's role in managing these patients. The unit will also give an overview of the mental health care system in Australia. Students are required to have the minimum computer systems requirements as specified by the Faculty and regular internet access. ObjectivesFor students to develop specialist mental health knowledge, and the ability to apply that knowledge in patients with these conditions. The focus will be medication-related issues and the pharmacist's role. Assessment
