SynopsisThis unit gives students an understanding of the fundamental principles and concepts of administrative law at State and Federal level. It examines the underlying purposes of administrative law and the mechanisms and fora by which it is applied. The unit will analyse and interpret the relevant legislation and the decisions relating to it and will provide students with an opportunity to prepare a simulated case for presentation in a administrative tribunal. The unit will provide a brief introduction to the principles of administrative review in other jurisdictions. Objectives
