Notes Previously coded CLA4210 SynopsisIn this unit students advance their grammatical and syntactical knowledge of Latin, while reading and discussing a variety of historical and poetic Latin texts. This unit is designed not only to increase students' experience in reading Latin but also to equip students with the interpretive skills to approach Latin literature critically. Students explore relevant aspects of Roman mythology and poetic technique, and emphasis is given to the historical, political and cultural contexts of the texts studied in class.
