Notes Previously coded CLA4020 SynopsisGuided reading in an area of students' choice that is relevant to the notion of Claasical Studies, subject to the approval of the lecturer. Students also conduct research which leads to written tasks on a question or topic relevant to their guided reading. ObjectivesBy the completion of this unit, it is expected that students will able to + to understand key notions surrounding the social, religious and political institutions of the Greeks and the Romans.+ analyze the relationship between language, ideology, and culture in the Classical world and in critical approaches to it.+ demonstrate knowledge and application of a range of methodological and theoretical approaches to Classical Studies.+ engage in independent research.+ demonstrate an advanced level of analytical and written skills.
