Description

Econometrics involves the extraction of information from data. It comprises a set of tools for analysing data using economic theories or computer-based statistical models. Econometric analysis provides informed support for business and economic decision-making.

Units

To complete the cconometrics major in the Bachelor of Business, students must complete:

(a.) at least two of the following three units:

(b.) remaining units selected from the following:

  • ETF2480 Business modeling
  • ETF2700 Mathematics for business
  • ETF3200 Quantitative business analysis
  • ETX3231 Business forecasting
  • ETF3300 Quantitative methods for financial markets
  • ETF3480 Optimisation for managers
  • ETF3500 Survey data analysis
  • ETF3600 Quantitative models for business research

Note: The major requires completion of at least two units (12 points) at each of second and third-year levels.
