Description

Banking and finance is the system that includes the circulation of money, the granting of credit, the making of investments, the acquisition of financing and the provision of banking facilities.

Units

To complete the Banking and finance major in the Bachelor of Business, students must complete:

(a.) The following six units (36 points):

  • AFF1300 Money and capital markets
  • AFF2401 Commercial banking and finance
  • AFF2631 Financial management
  • AFF3121 Investments and portfolio management
  • AFF3841 Lending decisions
  • MGX3100 Management ethics and corporate governance

(b.) two units (12 points) from the following list:

  • AFF2701 Equity markets
  • AFF2851 Accounting information systems and financial modelling
  • AFF3111 Personal financial planning
  • AFF3301 Money market operations
  • AFF3331 International banking and finance, or AFX3871 International study

program in banking and finance
