SynopsisTogether with BEH4201 Community Emergency Health Research Project - Part A, this unit aims to increase student understanding of theoretical and methodological aspects of research in community-based emergency health and to develop their analytic, research and communication skills. Students will undertake guided studies in research methodology and complete a supervised research project with the aim of developing both discipline specific and generic research skills. This unit (BEH4300) will focus on undertaking a literature review and developing a research proposal, both to be presented at the end of the semester. Either a research report (12000 to 15000 words) including literature review and methodology from Research Project Part A (BEH4200) or an article prepared for publication (3500 to 5000 words) meeting the editorial guidelines of a DEST approved, peer reviewed journal equivalent to the Journal of Emergency Primary Health Care and participation in an oral defence of the article: 80% Chief examiner(s)PrerequisitesCo-requisitesMust be enrolled in the Honours degree of Bachelor of Emergency Health (Paramedics) |
