The varied aspects and conceptions of student assessment are examined in a systematic way. The issue of student diversity is raised and examined for its impact on assessment. The relationship between assessment and student learning is explored within participants' own teaching contexts. Strategies for reviewing and improving assessment practices are also investigated. ObjectivesOn successful completion of the unit participants are expected to have improved their abilities.
