Clayton Second semester 2008 (Day)
In this unit, effective teaching is viewed as a continually evolving practice based on review, reflection, and revision. The varied aspects and conceptions of student assessment are examined in a systematic way. The issue of student diversity is raised and examined for its impact on assessment. The relationship between assessment and student learning is explored within participants' own teaching contexts. Strategies for reviewing and improving assessment practices are also investigated.
