BMS2011 - Structure of the human body6 points, SCA Band 2, 0.125 EFTSLUndergraduate Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health SciencesLeader: Dr. Monika ZimanyiOfferedClayton First semester 2008 (Day) SynopsisAn introduction to human anatomy and histology, the concept of primary tissues, the basic embryology of the nervous, cardio-vascular, gastrointestinal and musculoskeletal systems. Practical classes in which the anatomy of different regions is discussed in relation to prosections, X-rays, CT scans etc. Classes finish with a group discussion in which the clinical relevance of the anatomy is reviewed.
