The course comprises five core units and 6 points of electives. On completion of the graduate certificate, students who achieve a credit average or above can apply for the Graduate Diploma in Wound Care and/or the Master of Wound Care. Course objectivesAt the completion of the Graduate Certificate in Wound Care students will be able to:
Credit for prior learningApplicants may apply for advanced standing or credit for previous studies undertaken in the previous 5 years, or recognition of prior learning. The maximum proportion that can be awarded for advanced standing is 50% of the requirements for the award. No more than 25% of the requirements for the award will normally be granted for advanced standing based on the recognition of prior learning. All applications for advanced standing will be considered on an individual basis by the Faculty. Assessment is by assignments and online activities. Up to 12 points can be taken as non-award units. On any future enrolment into the award course, credit may be given for any non-award units studied.
