The course comprises five core units and three electives. On completion of the graduate certificate, students can apply for the Graduate Diploma in Wound Care and/or the Master of Wound Care. Course objectivesAt the completion of the Graduate Certificate in Wound Care students will be able to:
Entry requirementsAn undergraduate degree in an appropriate health discipline and at least two years of relevant clinical experience. Credit for prior learningApplicants may apply for advanced standing or credit for previous studies undertaken in the previous 5 years, or recognition of prior learning. The maximum proportion that can be awarded for advanced standing is 50% of the requirements for the award. No more than 25% of the requirements for the award will normally be granted for advanced standing based on the recognition of prior learning. All applications for advanced standing will be considered on an individual basis by the Faculty. Assessment is by assignments and online activities. Up to two individual units can be taken as non-award units. On any future enrolment into the award course, credit may be given for any non-award units studied.
