It is intended for engineering graduates who are employed in the aerospace industry who wish to seek employment in this industry. The course comprises eight units specific to the aerospace industry, which build on the student’s theoretical engineering knowledge and enhance this through practical examples. The eight coursework units cover the interaction of structural mechanics, aerodynamics and avionics with aspects of aerospace engineering and design. Students learn to apply analytical techniques and methodologies to rigorously assess aerospace engineering projects and to design optimal solutions for aerospace engineering problems within budgetary and technical constraints. Graduates of this course also develop an understanding of regulatory and governance requirements relevant to the aerospace industry. Course structure
