Course description

This course provides a program of studies for students who wish to gain quantitative and computer skills to enhance their career progression, or to find a pathway to some of the postgraduate programs available in the faculty.

Course structure

Students must complete four units (24 points).

(a) Students must complete at least three units (18 points) from the following list:

  • AFX9510 Quantitative methods
  • ETF9121 Data analysis in business
  • ETF9200 Econometric analysis in business
  • ETF9300 Financial econometrics
  • ETF9350 Econometrics for financial markets
  • ETF9480 Business modelling
  • ETF9700 Mathematics for business
  • ETX9520 Quantitative methods for risk analysis

(b) Students must complete one further 9000-level unit (6 points) taught by the Department of Econometrics and Business Statistics, other departments in the Faculty of Business and Economics or other faculties of the university.
