Caulfield Second semester 2006 (Evening)
Synopsis: Statistical methods used in social research. Topics include univariate analysis, cross-tabulation, control variables, correlations and tests of statistical significance, graphical displays, sampling theory and its practical application.
Assessment: Two practical assignments: 70% + Essay (2700 words): 30% (equivalent to a total of 9000 words)
Contact Hours: 2 hours (1 x 2 hour seminar) per week
