Synopsis: Globalisation, changes in technology and communication and commercial pressures have all added complexity to the ethical dimension of professional life. This subject examines issues affecting the professions and their practice. Students undertake a core module, Ethics at Work, which looks at the conceptual framework for ethical decision making and two professional modules. One module will normally be relevant to their home faculty, the other will provide a contrast case. The teaching program will involve a case-based inquiry culminating in the writing of a report addressing carefully formulated terms of reference. http://courseware.monash.edu.au/pep/about/
