Synopsis: Microbiology is the study of microscopic forms of life such as bacteria, viruses, protozoa. This detailed field includes the following topics: food microbiology; industrial microbiology; microbial cell structure and function; microbial physiology; microbial growth; microbial taxonomy; micro-organisms; virology. This unit is %100 research in the above areas with a view to producing a thesis for publication.
Assessment: The thesis will be examined by two external examiners.
