Caulfield Second semester 2006 (Day)
Synopsis: Designed to satisfy APS requirement re ongoing class contact that relates to and develops placement experience, this unit provides a forum for students to share their placement experiences and apply the theory, models, frameworks, perspectives and experiences gained during placement.
Objectives: On completion of this unit students will be able to: 1. Demonstrate the ability to apply academic learning to organisational practice; 2. Effectively communicate goals, learning and insights from placement experiences in a structured and engaging way; 3. Demonstrate understanding of the professional roles, codes of conduct and ethics of the organisational psychologists as described by the Board of Psychologists and APS; 4. Demonstrate understanding of the professional competencies of organisational psychologists (assessment, diagnosis, intervention design and implementation, evaluation and reflection); 5. Provide evidence of placement experiences, professional growth and development in terms of placement report, documentation of hours worked, and a supervisor report; 6. Explain the major features of action learning and action research as applied to organisations; 7. Describe and conduct a group action learning/action research project; 8. Participate in and reflect on individual and group experience in an action learning set; 9. Provide a presentation on a group action learning project and learning set.
Assessment: A minimum of 75% attendance of Placement, Seminars, Psychologists Registration Board of Victoria Placement Report, Placement Contracts, Placement Logbook and Placement Feedback Sheet.
