Synopsis: An introduction to the agribusiness system as a whole and an understanding of the linkages between the components of the system. Statistical description of the agribusiness sector; the organisation of the agribusiness channel; power relationships in the channel and an in-depth look at the production, processing and marketing of a selection of food and fibre products.
Assessment: Three assignments (2400 words): 24% + Management game: 10% + Short tests: 10% + Participation: 6% + Examination (3 hours): 50%
