Synopsis: Consolidate and develops skills in reading about and understanding issues in contemporary Korea. Texts include newspaper articles, advertisements, essays and fiction.
Objectives: Upon successful completion of this unit students will be able to: 1. Read authentic texts from various sources. 2. Write essays on topics of their interest. 3. Use dictionaries for reading more efficiently.
Assessment: Examination (2 hours): 40% + Reading assignments (total 2500 words): 60%
Contact Hours: 4 hours (2 x 1 hour lectures and 2 x 1 hour tutorials) per week
Prerequisites: KOR3330 or equivalent
