Synopsis: A dissertation of 15,000 words on an approved topic selected and researched by the candidate under the supervision of a member of staff in journalism with expertise in the proposed area of research.

Objectives: On successful completion of this unit, students will have demonstrated their capacity to design a research project, undertake advanced research activities, and produce a report in the appropriate format.
