Synopsis: Approved study equivalent to 18-points (Arts, Monash) at an Italian university. Placement arrangements will be made through the Program, which has links with the universities of Florence, Bologna, Perugia and Siena. Students will take the "Programma Seminariale" within their chosen units in Italy.
Objectives: Upon completion of this unit students should have: 1. successfully undertaken a program of study offered by a host institution in Italy equivalent to fourth-year 18-point level language and culture units at Monash University; 2. achieved a good level of competency in the designated tasks; 3. gained first-hand understanding of Italian culture in Italy; 4. improved and consolidated Italian language skills in Italy; 5. study culture units which are broadly related to students' dissertation topics in order to enhance linguistic and cultural competence of that field of study
Assessment: Students are required to fulfil attendance and assessment requirements for the "Programma Seminariale" as specified by the host institution for study units equivalent to 18-points at Monash University. During their stay in Italy, students are expected to maintain contact with the Study Abroad coordinator.
