Caulfield Second semester 2006 (OCL)
Synopsis: Introduction to the practical environment in which the theory of information management and systems is applied and preparation for entry into the professional workplace. Literature and professional issues relating to participants' specialisations including the role of professional associations. Introduction to the world of work and career opportunities in the information market.
Assessment: Assignments: 50% + Formal Supervised Assessment: 50%
Contact Hours: 2 hours per week, plus four weeks of field work and overview visits.
Prerequisites: IMS9049 or equivalent; Entry to this unit subject to approval Head of School, or nominee
