Caulfield Full year 2006 (Day)
Synopsis: This unit is the first of the three full year studio subjects in the Bachelor of Information Systems. It aims to enhance the students' understanding of information systems development practice, and to give them a 'hands-on' understanding of the techniques, tools and products used in the development of information systems and the management of information. They will be required to undertake project development work, both by themselves and in groups. The projects will aim to give them practice in identifying information problems and opportunities, specifying product and system requirements, and in building products and system components.
Assessment: Examination: 20% + Assignments: 80%
Contact Hours: 4 hours per week
Prerequisites: Only available to students enrolled in the Bachelor of Information Systems.
