Synopsis: History of user interfaces and graphical user interface systems (GUIs); human computer interaction (HCI) principles and GUI design and evaluation; standard interaction metaphors; user-centred design and evaluation; interface modeling techniques; use of implementation support tools including visual development environments such as Visual Tcl, and the underlying Tcl/Tk language.
Assessment: 50% assignment, 50% examination
Prerequisites: GCO9803 and GCO9805 or equivalent
