Synopsis: With FIT3009 this unit provides a top-to-bottom coverage of eBusiness Systems. The emphasis in this unit is on the technologies used to implement these Systems. Although suitable for a future developer of eBusiness Systems the unit is optimally targeted at future managers of such development. Thus practical exercises will be illustrative not industrial strength and technology issues and details will be given equal coverage. The main aim is to familiarise students with currently popular eBusiness technologies (data, architecture, programming, implementation issues and standards) so that their design and implementation decisions will be informed and produce successful eBusiness systems.
Assessment: Examination 60%. Assignments: 40%. Students must pass the examination in order to pass the unit.
