Clayton Second semester 2006 (Day)
Synopsis: The unit provides a general survey of women's fiction, ranging across two centuries. It will consistently question and explore the concept of 'the difference of view' and will examine the importance of common historical contexts and of intertextuality for women writers.
Assessment: Essay (2500 words): 60% + Test (2 hours): 40%
Contact Hours: 2 hour seminar per week
Prerequisites: A first-year sequence in English, Literary Studies or Cultural Studies or permission
