Synopsis: Provides an overview of the issues involved in multi-service wide area networks and the architecture and technologies of ISDN and, particularly, ATM. Convergence of networks and services. ISDN services, architecture, protocols, signalling. BISDN architecture and services. ATM protocols, signalling and switching.

Assessment: Examination (3 hours): 70% + Written: 30%
