Synopsis: At the end of this unit, students should be able to: 1. Conduct a psychiatric interview with a client; incorporating a mental status examination; 2. Complete a thorough and accurate written evaluation of a client; and 3. Be familiar with major classes of psychiatric illness.
Objectives: At the end of this unit, students should be able to: 1. Conduct a psychiatric interview with a client; incorporating a mental status examination; 2. Complete a thorough and accurate written evaluation of a client; and 3. Be familiar with major classes of psychiatric illness.
Assessment: + Weekly short test (25%) + Three written mental status examinations and three psychiatric histories (25%) + Clinical Case Report (50%)
