Synopsis: Techniques for developing multimedia Web applications using the Java programming language. Events and threads in Applets and other issues important to WWW programming such as security and client-server communication. Multimedia technology and how it relates to other key technologies. Intellectual property rights and standards.
Assessment: Assignments: 70% + Essay and presentation: 30%
