Synopsis: Introduction to the principles, tools and techniques of project management in an IT context. The conceptual material presented in lectures is reinforced by practical application in the context of a software development project. The project will be defined against a set process model. A project review phase will be used to analyse and report on project estimates against actual time, cost and resource expenditure.
Assessment: Examination (3 hours) 40% + Unit Test 10% + Assignment 50%
Contact Hours: One 2-hour lecture, two hours laboratory per week
Prerequisites: CSE2200 and CSE2201
