Clayton First semester 2006 (Day)
Synopsis: This unit is a hands-on introduction to the SAP R/3 Enterprise Wide System. An introduction to the functionality and operation of the system, including the Implementation Guide (IMG) is followed by an in-depth look at a typical process in two R/3 modules. The two modules are examined from an operational (user) and configuration (developer) perspective. The core Fi/Co modules are then examined from these perspectives. Finally, the ABAP language is introduced and techniques for writing programs are discussed and practised.
Assessment: Assignment (involves a major development task): 15% + Tests (involves minor development tasks): 25% + Examination (2.5 hours): 60% + Students must pass the examination in order to pass the unit
