Clayton Second semester 2006 (Evening)
Synopsis: At the completion of this unit students should be able to use a current popular business application development environment to develop complete desktop and Web applications. Major topics include: database connectivity, Web services, business objects, advanced GUI techniques. Object orientation in the context of business applications is also discussed including the creations of business classes. A clean logical programming style that minimises errors is demonstrated. Topics concerning application delivery including help and distribution technolgies may also be discussed.
Assessment: Laboratory and assignments: 40% + Examination (2 hours): 60% + Students must pass the examination in order to pass the unit.
Contact Hours: One x 2hour lecture/week, one x 1hour laboratory/week
Prerequisites: BUS9042 or equivalent
