Synopsis: Computer modelling techniques and their application to business-related problems. Principles and practice of modelling business systems as a support for the decision-making activities of executives. Topics include decision making under uncertainty, Monte Carlo simulation, forecasting, inventory control and project management.
Assessment: Examination: 60% + Assignments: 25% + Practical test: 15% + Students must pass the examination in order to pass the unit.
Contact Hours: Two x 1hour lecture/week, one x 1hour laboratory/week
