Synopsis: This unit provides an introduction to corporate finance. Topics covered include financial mathematics, valuation of shares and bonds, capital budgeting, risk and return, asset pricing models, efficient market theory, cost of capital, dividend policy, and leverage and capital structure policy.
Objectives: Topics covered include theory of valuation, capital budgeting, risk and return, efficient market theory, cost of capital, and dividend policy.
Assessment: Class exercises: 20% + Examination (3 hours): 80%
